Bandai Namco has delayed Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom from it's planned release date of January 19th 2018.
The announcement of the delay was accompanied with a new Story Trailer for the game which also shows off combat gameplay in a few different environments as well as the game's cast.
In a statement developer Level-5 president and CEO Akihiro Hino has said: "The development of our latest project is coming along very well," Hino wrote. "In an effort to constantly innovate and bring new experiences to players, we’ve also implemented new modes in Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom [...]. However with innovation and new ideas come the need to ensure everything works together in a fun and cohesive package. This means we’ll need a bit more time to make sure the entire Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom experience meets Level-5 and Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc.’s high quality standards."
Originally the Japanese RPG was set to release in November 2017 and it was announced in July that the release date was moved to January 19th 2018.
