Tis time for House Dongacles to fly its banners proudly. Tis time for House Dongacles to fly its banners proudly.

Cross your fingers for a Hodor cameo.

It's been a while since we've heard or seen anything concrete from Telltale regarding its next few projects. Earlier this year when The Wolf Among Us and The Walking Dead Season 2 were still being released, we kept getting more and more hints about the upcoming Borderlands project. However, Game of Thrones was noticeably absent from these teases. Now that the year is winding down we're finally seeing some movement on that front.

After weeks of vague tweets, Telltale has confirmed that the first episode of its Game of Thrones game will be premiering before the end of 2014. The first episode, titled "Iron From Ice," has no official release date, but today's tweet from the official Telltale account says it will be "Premiering Soon." Coupled with this announcement was the reveal that the Game of Thrones series will have six episodes in total, one more than the traditional five that Telltale has stuck to. The story will center around five different characters whom the player will swap perspectives between, much like in The Walking Dead 400 Days. Given the dense nature of the books and the HBO show, its understandable why an extra episode will be required, and who's going to say no to more nudity and political assassination?

Telltale's Game of Thrones Episode 1 "Iron From Ice" will premiere sometime before the end of the year on multiple platforms.

When do you think we'll see the first episode? Do you mind having six episodes instead of five? Let us know in the comments.
